Welcome to C.A.R.D.S. (Committee for Airline Reservations Distribution Systems)

Formed in 1977 as Travicom Users Committee, Travicom became Galileo 1986 and subsequently it transitioned to CARDS in 1988 when GDS's were also able to become members.

C.A.R.D.S. 's objectives are threefold.

1.- To represent the interests of member airlines in achieving optimum distribution of their product and services through Automated Distribution Systems.

2.- To encourage technological research and development in the field of automated distribution for the benefit of the Airline and Travel Industry.

3.- To educate members in respect of current systems and future developments.

C.A.R.D.S. is a platform which is used by member airlines and GDS to discuss industry related issues, to update members of new products and to bring forward policies and changes which are beneficial to its members.

C.A.R.D.S. membership is restricted to airline Sales, Marketing and Head Office Distribution staff (or their representatives)  to GDS and to certain Companies providing services to the Industry.

Meetings are held in London three or four times a year at venues which are conveniently reached from Heathrow Airport.
